Default Southern California Fires

Man these fires are so bad. The sky was a smokey orange all day. It is raining ashes here and we have to keep all our windows closed because the air is so bad. Thankfully my area is safe but we seem to be down wind of all the smoke which makes breathing the air uncomfortable.

I really feel bad for those losing their homes.

About 5 years ago, the sky here in southern utah was filled with smoke. Was it from a local fire, absolutly not. The smoke came from california. so, i'm afraid history might repeat itself sometime during the nest week. I mean, that time 5 years ago, our sky was a bright orange and the sun a dark red, it was bad.

Well, it was like that across SoCal today. While none of the fires are near me this time in my part of the valley, we're choking on the smoke and smell of the fires to our southeast (so it's heading away from you).

Clearly those right in the fire areas have it worse than any of us, awful to see so many homes consumed in one day. Prayers go out to all those directly affected.

Smell the smoke?! I was practically hacking and coughing till I got in my house. And I was only outside for about 5 minutes.

I hope everyone is okay. I admit to feeling some satisfaction that this firestorm is one I'm watching without my luggage packed next to the door, my pets already stationed in safe zones....
