All I can tell you is that this "hooting, road-sign shooting yank" will definitely engage in some audience reaction after I see the trailer before QoS tonight.

They laugh during a comedy, but when the trailers are on, they simply watch them.

Woo-hoo!! Go for it!

Does it count if I've only shot one road sign?

No, we sit impassively through everything, saving all our passion for hockey games and, inexplicably, anything Shatner-related.

That's why Canada exports so many comedians to the USA -- of course they're honed to a much finer edge by playing to endless silent, stone-faced audiences at every show, but mostly they just want to do their act in front of a crowd that actually laughs once in a while.

And of course I'm kidding about the road-sign-shooting. But maybe not the hooting.

That must be nice.
but some emotion is okay you know...

I know, but not during a trailer.

Personally I'd rather watch and listen to it, rather than hearing some idiot whooping and cheering.

I went to the first Friday showing of QOS and being a work day the theater only had about 50 people in it.

All were silent except one fan somewhere behind me who apparently was there to see the trailer and hollared out "YES!" when it began and a couple of more times during it and at the end much to the chagrin of whoever he was with who were shushing him to be quiet.

I was probably as excited as he was but not willing to look like a total geek. I was grinning from ear to ear and shaking my head yes during the whole trailer.

It is going to be a long almost six months until May 8, 2009!!!! Of course I am confident that JJ will read one of my inspiring posts on here and invite me to LA for a sneak peek bfore then (LOL).
