Default Now we have the trailer, so what's next?

Woo-hoo! After a long wait, the trailer we've been fighing the butterflies in our stomachs for is finally here. So now that this step has been crossed, what's next?

*Will the current new trailer be featured with other movies (providing the theatres will show it)?

*What future projects are there within the movie's advertizing campaign?

I'm sure the trailer will open wider with other films upcoming in release, at least I'd think it would. QUANTUM got the exclusive, then when it's online it can open with other films.

I noted elsewhere that I'd say it's a good bet another full trailer could appear early 2009 or perhaps March/April to usher in the film -- there is certainly plenty of material for a 2nd trailer, given what's in the first one. THE DARK KNIGHT did the same thing before its release... more reveals, more anticipation.

I'd dig seeing a second trailer by next spring.

I think they'll be careful not to over-do the marketing. Too little is better than too much, since people will stay interested if they're left wanting more. Saturate your potential audience with too much hype, and they start to turn off.

Yeah, I can see how that wouldn't be good.

See, that's the problem. People have been complaining about not being given enough footage or pics or storyline forever on these boards. We were just given the trailer 24 hours ago and we're already wondering what's next. It's never enough. Just my two cents...

Seems that way doesn't it? I am part of the problem. I ALWAYS want more Trek. I would be happy with a mini-series or even a made for TV movie every now and then. I don't think Trek must be a blockbuster in order to survive.
