it's good but the red doesn't look right in it.

That brick color is just to indicate the outine of the nacelle, as with the Raven, Aeroshuttle, etc. Maybe I should have tried a different color for this pupose to go with the Klingon color scheme.

let me ask you a question Lcars.
Have you tried an opaque shading the area in the green so that the fuselage is see through but the nacelle is isolated. Perhaps using a darker shade of of green for the engine outline?

I'm just throwing out ideas....

You remember this one. It's very clear. The first one with this methodology was the Raven, for which there is a canon MSD that shows nothing at all of the nacelle. But these are not MSDs, exactly. They're library schematics, whose target audience is mainly people less familiar with the vessel in question than those who view an MSD, most of whom work on the ship and know it well. And shading some of the black areas or making ghost images would be getting too far away from the LCARS MSD style, I would think.
