Part of that may be due to the neck being wider and reaching farther back on the secondary hull -- it leaves less negative space between the pylons and nacelles.

Also, the pylons also look a bit shorter than 'usual' from this angle -- which would give the E a lower vertical profile when viewed from a side-on angle. That would at least be consistent with the general trend of TREK designs from TNG onward.

At least some may be pleased there aren't tons of "glowing crap" on it, though the lighting of the shot (which I like) does make for a rather bright view of the E.

The front of the nacelles may be the part of design I find the most surprising and slightly jarring, but I want to see it from different angles before I make up my mind on them.

The saucer section looks like the 1701A, right down to the RCS thruster placement.
