As for bachlor/ette food: a bag of rice, some butter, and a can of tuna mixed together is foolproof. If you have other things in the house, you can add them too!

The local pizza place was #4 on my speed dial until I got married...

Oh, if only it weren't 2230 hours here, pizza sounds REALLY good...

I love the challenge of "make dinner out of what's here"...I've used the seasoning mix from Top Raman to make gravy, I've used those noodles to be the base for a stir fry. Rice? That's a gift! Is there a can of soup in the house? Because, rice cooked in soup is FOOD....

As Jerhanner has said, cans of Tuna are THE BEST when needing to add protein to a meal. It's all about buying it cheap and using it well.

You're lucky allright. The saying "There's someone for everybody." is bandied about a lot around here and a lot of people believe it. But I can tell you first hand that there isn't a bit of truth in that old line. So if you do find a soul mate, or a life mate, you're one of the lucky ones.

I know how you feel. My Mistress is two states away, but even from this far, we talk constantly and look out for each other. That kind of connection, especially one powerful enough to last for years when you're apart from the one you love, is a rare thing.

Christmas eve, 1982, Denver. We (my cousin and I) were supposed to get in the car, and head over to my Uncles for Christmas, but we got delayed by a couple of friends stopping by, and we were still trying to finish laundry when... the single biggest blizzard of the last two decades hit. Literally, in the space of three hours, the roads became impassible. We were stuck at our little bachelor pad, and the cupboards were pretty bare. Digging deep, we found a package of linguini noodles, a bottle of BBQ sauce, and a single can of chicken.

But you know... it got us through the night, and we were REALLY happy to finally get dug out two days later to have a belated Christmas dinner.
