Welcome back, Tribblez! Where've you been?

Good chance that the reporter mistook the woman for a Vulcan, unless it was a Vulcan nanny. Why not? My son's nanny is from Trinidad.

They've also added 2 more wallpapers in the download section with black backgrounds.

Are we really going to get teased THIS MUCH?!?!
come on, JJ!
Because Abrams has probably not obeyed the edict of Paramount. I fear he has changed the Enterprise beyond recognition and destroyed any hope of retaining continuity in Star Trek. And also, to continue to torture us with a refinement of cruelty.

She's human in the movie. You're talking about a second hand account, keep in mind. But then he could still be held by a Vulcan woman anyway since we can assume they were around for his birth.

Except the teaser trailer would totally contradict how changed "beyond recognition" the E looks, since it looks very recognizable in the shots (if incomplete).

Face it, THE MOMENT is the revelation of The Enterprise. As much as I decry Ship Porn, even I see that as a climax worthy moment and Abrams does not want to waste it on a trailer. We won't see the ship until movie is released.

Such a short memory, Trigger! We re-lived Spock's birth in TFF, remember? There were several people present, and IIRC, at least a couple of them were Vulcan women.

That's another reason I think those trailer descriptions might be phoney. We know for a fact that Winona Ryder is playing Amanda, so they haven't given Spock a Vulcan mother or anything.

I'm also suspicious that two different Paramount employees supposedly wrote very similar accounts of the trailer - even both using "***" in place of "***" in their early paragraphs - and then both decided to email their thoughts to Ain't It Cool...

:edit: Ah, I see that word's covered by the filter here... the original article uses the actual word. Still, my point remains: there are an awful lot of stylistic similarities in those two trailer recaps.

Agreed. Although I wouldn't mind betting that we will at least see her name/registration somewhere (even if it is not on her hull) and maybe a few tearing glimpses inside.

That said, I certainly don't want to see her in all her glory until she debuts on the big screen.
