It's weird that they didn't mention the Enterprise in the trailer. However, very recently TrekMovie.com reported that the Enterprise interiors AND Exteriors were to be shown in the trailer. So hopefully we'll see that it still stands!

Well now, I don't know where you guys are, but I am in the UK. I have seen QOS (Tuesday 7/11 to be precise) and there was no ST trailer there, although it was running in the foyer it is/was the same as the trailer on startrekmovie.com

As has been discussed here for a while, the TREK trailer will debut with QUANTUM OF SOLACE when the film opens in the US on November 14th, and likely online soon thereafter.

You all in the UK and elsewhere will have to let us know if you hear of the TREK trailer being *added* to QOS in theaters there after the 14th.

While we are all hoping for a grand view of The Lady, I wouldn't be surprised if the only Enterprise exteriors that are shown in the trailer are just small sections... small enough to conceal what we really want to see, but large enough to fill a ten-page thread with speculation and arguement. JJ is too cruel!

I, for one, am happy to save as many surprises as possible until the actual movie comes out. Where's the fun in going to a film, knowing what all the major scenes and locations look like? I've seen people over-analyse movies and videogames to death on the internet, deconstructing every screenshot and snippet - and then complaining that the finished product was boring and predictable

Question Enterprise timeline

Though they'll have Christopher Pike in the movie they won't have Robert April the Enterprise's first captain. Also the trailer description could be accurate we'll have to wait & see on friday during Quantum Of Solace before they added to the official movie site along side the teaser. Using Chris Pine's age of 28 Kirk most likely would be first officer on another vessel. What about Gary Mitchell & CMO Dr. Mark Piper?

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

Yeah, we all have been speculating a lot about Mitchell and Piper, as well as other old characters in the TOS realm. Have a search on some of the threads, because a lot of them haven't been active lately since our attention has been diverted to the new pictures and forthcoming trailer.

I agree with Big D, nothing ruins a movie more than already knowing the most exciting things due to the trailer. I think saving The Enterprise for the movie will not only ensure that more Trekkers will pay for their ticket, but give it the attention it deserves. This is the freaking Enterprise we're talking about. I'd rather see her on a big screen in all her glory then have my first glimpse of her on my budget laptop with it's soddy sound card. That's must my two cents on that however.
All in all sounds good to me. I just don't quite get seein little Spock with a Vulcan woman. His mother was human. Hellooo J.J.!!
