I'm still confused about the Kelvin. Are we looking at the top or bottom of the ship? Is that a warp nacelle or a secondary/engineering hull?

I think that the Kelvin is a lot like the old scout ship from the original ‘Star Trek Technical Manual’ a single warp nacelle under the primary hull but with the added engineering section above the primary hull much like the mini-hull on the Reliant.

we're looking at the top, the lettering just doesn't work if your flip or rotate it any other way, and it appears to have the engineering hull on top
