Not by much though...The Scots have just considered the French an ends to a means. Sir William Wallace sent word to the French hoping for supplies and or men to help in his campaign agaist the English. HE was refused flatly.

I'm sensing some dangerous parallels with an even older conflict that swept the nations years ago when dachshunds became Liberty Dogs, and Hamburger became Salisbury Steak.

Simple answer to the topic: He faking the accent because the French are prevented from being starship captains. Insert your own old silly joke about the cliche of the French and facing danger.
