So when does Nero get his ear chewed off and will we see this on-screen?

Also, who will chew his ear off? Sulu? Is that why he looks a little nauseous on the bridge in those promotional stills?

I worry about this character. The actor playing Nero acted Henry VIII in the only thing I have seen him in, and he was very wooden. Why does Paramount never cast decent actors in Trek?

He looks like Romulan version of a neo-Nazi.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nero is part of some kind of radical Romulan faction, acting beyond the authority of the Empire itself.

I like your theory. As a long-time fan, these initial images of Nero do not liken themselves to the Romulan characters I am familiar with. If he is a radical leader I can at least envision his character in contrast to the Romulans we've seen in the past. Don't get me wrong: I like the look and anticipate Nero's character being the driving force of conflict in Star Trek's story. It is going to be a great ride.

Not only has Bana been in many productions, he's an international award-winning actor as recently as 2007's AFI award for Lead Actor (in ROMULUS, MY FATHER ironically enough!).

You can view his filmography on IMDB, including MUNICH (highly recommended), TROY, BLACK HAWK DOWN and more.
