I <3 the moderators
u mods are so great. thanks to u so much for this forum
 I don't mean to suck up to u or to make it seem like i'm just sucking up to u so u might make me a mod i'm just saying i <3 u guys cus u such great mods and u forum so great. and just want to say u mods are doing such a great job ur amazing i'm in awe of the way u moderate this forum so well and if u mde me a mod i would try to be almost as good as u guys but i know thats not possible

To my knowledge there is nothing wrong with expressing thanks.
However if you were to ask Saquist... "What's wrong with going over the top?" It can appear undignified at times to apply more than the acceptable amount of praise (depeding on the situation). Society has many labels for such gratuitous behavior because it calls into question an individuals motivations and sincerity. I smiled at the post. It was obvious he or she wanted to be considered for a moderator. But those positions are chosen not based on gratitude but objectivity.
