You know one thing i noticed, it looks like the font for the starship markings look just like the font in the teaser trailer, except they put a red outline around the letters/numbers.

That's how the lettering was in the TOS movie Enterprise...

I like the Spock pic better, since we get a glimpse of the hull! Can't wait to see a full wide angle bridge picture.

Not exactly, this font seems to be much thinner and rounder. The movie versions were more sharp with corners of words.

Can't be. The viewport on the exterior is WAY to wide proportionally compared to the view screen. Just proportionally it doesn't work out. Also, you can see light coming from the bridge in the "open" areas, which you don't see in that "view port."

This is some freaking cool stuff =) I wouldn't mind so much if it was a window, but that kind of makes things like different viewscreen angles (like rear view or panning or displaying other information) difficult. But with 23rd century technology who knows?

I remember seeing a sketch for a conference room to be included in TMP which looks to have been a similar concept to the room in the picture (ie; Large viewing window). As the NCC 1701 was never shown to have a functional conference room, which does appear to be a standard on almost all other Starfleet ships, perhaps this has been included to allow a meeting place for senior officers away from the hustle and bustle of the bridge. Judging from the windows proximity to the hull I would say that it is located on the level below the main bridge.

I think Spock is standing in a conference room in front of a window. It makes sense since we see the lettering. I don't think you could see the lettering from the bridge. What ever it is, it is way cool!!!!!!!!!

Think how bad a-s-s it will look (if this is the view screen) seeing the enemy phasers and torpedoes hitting and bouncing off the saucer while viewing out during battle. All we have ever seen in past Treks is space, never the actual ship hanging out there. definitely more realistic.

I had heard a rumor many many months ago that the bridge might be multilevel , any one else recall hearing that?
