You are young and otherwise healthy so I am sure that you will recover completely from the operation. I hope you feel as well as possible while that's happening, and I hope that the subsequent information your doctors get is favorable. I wish you smooth sailing! Get back to us ASAP!

Buffs...the fact that you were experiencing symptoms (as noted in the other thread) makes me think this is something more than an "early catch" situation.
However, that means nothing. I don't care if the doctors tell someone "only 1% of patients recover" (which is not at alll true of your condition, it's just a number I pulled out for the discussion) that means 1% recover so there is absolutely no reason YOU cannot be that 1%. In this case, it's more like 40% or so... Even if the doctors are giving dour numbers, there is no reason to beilieve YOU are not that person who survives and thrives. Almost everyone in my family has cancer (gee...genetic?). so, the diagnosis is not the conclusion. My grandmother had most of her intestines and stomach removed the year I was born. She lived to be 94. I was 40 when she died. I'm not going to be silly and suggest it will be easy, but it is definitely a fight I know you can win. So, win it!!! Also...send me a PM if you have questions...I've been on the sidelines for so much of this I probably have an answer or a link to someone who has an answer.
