What Operating System(s) do you Use?
Just for fun :]
just answer in the poll and leave a message about what you think of it(them) as for me: Ubuntu- It's OK, but no savior to the ancient computer I use it on. Windows XP- Fine, way faster that Ubuntu, and virus free thanks to me (not Microsoft, of couse) and OS X 10.5 Leopard- AMAZING is the only word that captures it.

I use Windows XP - it came on my laptop, and it's what was used on my university's computers before I got my own. A solid, familiar, and reasonably accessible system. More user-friendly than Windows 98, and - according to some - less convoluted than Vista.
Once money allows and practicality demands, I'll probably upgrade to a newer system, which'll likely have Vista.

I have Vista, as it came with the laptop. I'm not a fan of it, and speaking to others who also use it, seems the problems are the same for them. I find it ironic how it constantly freezes when I'm using MSN based sites and it's Vista I'm using!
I want to try Macbook next time, but I don't know anyone who actually uses Apple for their home PC or laptop. Seems the cost of them makes most stick to Microsoft.

i dont understant why people always complain about vista,it certainly has flaws but its way better than xp,wait for the next sp and everything will be ok

I'm holding on to my XP-containing laptop. I wouldn't upgrade an OS on a machine that wasn't originally designed to run it. Everyone who has one is trying to convert me to Mac, which I haven't used since 1996. We'll see.

I have Vista and it works great. I have never had it freeze up or crash. I bought a refurb gateway from tigerdirect and it came with a Vista install disc. I reinstalled Vista to get rid of all the gateway junk. I also installed a cheap graphics card (nVidia GeForce 8500 GT 512 w/fan) and I am super happy with the way everything runs.
