If you had the time and the experience, I'd recommend downloading Blender and some Star Trek models. Then you could really go to work.
As for real actors, I'm sure you could find some people that would like to do that. Ask some people in the theater dept. (if ur school has one)

I think it's footage from all 3 Enterprise E movies with captions, if I remember correctly.
