Default I know why the Kelvins Nacelle is Off Center - possible spoilers

This is a Spoiler but I dont know how to make a Spoiler tag. If someone can please feel free to do it.

The reason it is off center??? Warning. Dont look below if you dont want to know.

The reason it is off center is because it is a vectoring nacelle. It rotates in when the ship is in trouble or for quick turns. I reported last year that the Enterprise was seen and it had Vectoring nacelles as well. Here is a transcript from the script that proves this. Please read or dont read.

Creating a spoiler tag is easy:

Type in your message.

Highlight the portion you want to be hidden by the spoiler tag.

Click the 'black box' icon in the message edit window (at the far right of the formatting tools on top of the window).

Give the spoiler tag a name or lead-in phrase. Click OK on the pop-up window.

And you get a
hidden spoiler section

Interesting idea, especially for a one-nacelle design. Do they turn the nacelle around if they wanna fly backwards then?

If you believe that the blue thing is the engineering section and turn the picture around, it does not look off center anymore, just like a bent strut connecting the saucer and engineering section.

sorry it just looks like a heavily damaged federation starship being outgunned or outnumbered to me i does look like there are tholian ships in the picture and possibly a romulan bird of prey decloaking to join in with its tholian allies....

I really hope they won't actually be swiveling around. I don't mind impulse engines being built into the warp nacelles though.

My favorite pet peeve is nacelle and impulse placement with regards to center of mass. The TNG Enterprise looked ok, but TOS Enterprise would be forever like my girlfriend going down our stairs, spinning head over heels (and I pray she never sees this post)

Ah, yes, the Relia... I mean the Stargaz... I mean, the Kelvin. (Oh, yes, I know, that mean old Saint is at it again, pointing out things we really don't want to think about! Naughty!)

Good point Saint. The Kelvin could be a Stargazer, yet with 2 instead of 4 nacelles and it has strong similarities with the Miranda-class. The latter might ease your concern about the upcoming movie
