Default Will Shatner get more publicity than Pine before the movie premieres?

Will Shatner overshadow Pine in interviews by the media and magazines in the final weeks before the movie comes out. It seems the press would love to create a contoversy comparing the two and stirring debate. What do you think? It also goes for the other cast as well.

What I want to know is will Frank Caliendo have to work up a Chris Pine impression now to replace the Shatner one?

Good Question. I haven't heard his Shatner yet, of course, Kevin Pollack is the only person I've heard do him. Maybe there's a You Tube video of Frank doing him that I could check out.

Uh, yeah. That's where the screen cap came from.

I don't see this happening at all, for one very important reason: Pine will be an active part of Paramount's promotion tours and junkets supporting the release of the film. Shatner won't be.

In effect, it's easy for Shatner to get some publicity about the film now, because there's no competition for the press' attentions. That will change 180 degrees by next April and the cameras will be following Pine and his castmates.

Yes, but this is extremely unfair to Pine. He can't compete with Shat, and hopefully people won't compare him to Shat--the far superior actor.

Comparing Pine to Shatner... yeah, I'm sure that will never come up next May.

Oh please...Shatner will get all the "pity" press, where he can stand on his re-enforced soap box and tell everyone that will listen, about how Pine should have been his protege and then Pine would have that stop and go method of over-acting. A Mini-Shat
