Question Common Courtesies going away?

I dont why Im posting it just wanted to get it off my chest and see what you fabolous people think.

What ever happened to common courtesies the one that sparked the rant is Why dont poeple remove hats when they enter buildings anymore. It used to be expected.

ANyone else notice any "older"courtesy going by the way side?

My mom has always taught me to be mindful of my actions and mannerful at all times. Courtesies are so rare that when it happens I really take notice of it.

When a guy tips his hat, opens the doors, helps when unasked for. That and chivalry... I've shaken many hands. Only twice did guys actually kiss my hand that it was so startling and puzzling. It so rare that actions like that win my heart so fast!

i see that alot since I live down in the south were alot of people use Snuff and chewing tobacco. But it does seem like older traditions are being done away with which is sad I think . Parents should reinforce Common Courtesies to thier children.

Cussing as means of expressing anger and stress... That bugs me. I don't curse. One time this guy asked me how to do something in a computer class we were in together. I ask "what's the problem?" "This F___ing Stupid Sh_t, is F___ing hard. I can't F___ing understand it!"

He wasted a minute of my time with just cussing and not telling me exactly what he wanted to know. I told him stop cussing and tell me what the problem is. He calmed down and asked.. and I showed him how to do it.

Ditroi, The kissing of the hand thing is something I personally as a guy have never done. I always guess I thought that was a sign wanting courtship and never wanted to be that forward. Either that or for a more formal situation than a casual meeting. *Shrugs* But I have opened doors for my wife. I dont wear hats so no hat to tip but I do nod to people a lot.

Well yeah... courting... those two guys wanted to "court" me. But they beat around the bush and turned out to be spineless losers... sigh. Such is my life.
