Did anyone get a chance to compare the bridge of Pikes Enterprise in "The Cage" with this bridge design yet? I seem to recall the Pike era bridge having some sort of standing station like this. I don't mind the light color so much as i mind all the acrylic walls. WTF?

I saw the photos finally today and geeked out and had to join a forum. May I say that this makes me too excited for many words. I've already super imposed the Spock and McCoy posters together for my desktop background. Thank god for Trek!

I must say, that new bridge looks awesome. As a fan of TOS since the 70's... I just never could get past the cardboard look of the enterprise bridge... I know so many love it... but its just so "60's" and Im one to give up nastalgia for new entertainment value and a rebirth of a franchise. I watch star trek because I love new technology and the future it has to offer... one of the reasons I fell in love with the other series, and its technical sets and bridges. This new bridge so works for me!!!! Finally TOS that's really looks like its in the 23rd century! I can more see this technology being refit into TMP than the 60's version!! YAY YAY J.J.!

What I would say is that in terms of looks, the new Kirk seems the least like the original, and the bridge looks rather more modern that those seen for TNG era ships!!! Although I do like the not identical but reminiscent of Kirks original, captains chair. Shame I can't find the crew photo.
