I love it, love it, love it! The bridge is what I wanted, really. I was hoping for a dirtier bit, but I truly am pleased. The seventies feel seems spot on. Of course, we haven't all of it, but so far... Great!

There is one thing that I am not so sure of though, Nero. I just hope Bana pulls it off. It may just be the shot, but he seems, oh... what's the word? Hokey?

Overall though, I'm even more excited. Now could someone make really cool wallpapers with these pics.

Why isn't Kirk in gold?
There is a woman in that bridge shot at a console that does not look like it belongs. There are what looks like microphones and a lectern. I'm willing to bet it's a shot of an academy bridge simulation and possibly the Kobayashi Maru. Kirk's injuries could be the result of a fight at the academy.

The girls are in short skirts! Hot Damn! As intense as Kirk looks in that bridge pic, McCoy is looking awfully calm. Spock is all business, Sulu looking around as always for someone to tell him something. But that woman is NOT Uhura. And that is NOT the communications station. There are what appear to be microphones and she's holding what looks to be a writing instrument. I think this is an academy simulator, and NOT a ship bridge. As for the U.S.S. Kelvin, the bridge pod looks like it's facing the wrong way on the saucer. The design (what i can see of it!) looks like a combination of Star Trek #1-6 and STNG technology. Abrams told us he was changing the interior of the vessels with no apology, but i still think the prescence of the "instructor" in that bridge shot screams simulation.

First of all, I was being serious. Secondly the unfortunate person in the "Angry Spock" pic, looks to be Kirk getting a trouncing after finally pissing off Spock (which thing takes some doing). And last but not least, and I almost hate to say it, but not quite, I told you guys this was coming. I told you in several different threads that I was expecting it. And i don't think it's quite over yet. I think we've got at least one more big shocker coming before the trailer. Just a hunch, but we'll see if I'm right or not.

Wow. OK... this is big stuff!

Well, my first impression was that Pine has too much hair on his head, but I realized this is minor and I could live with that. Then I noted that Kirk is too tall- Shatner is shorter than Nimoy but Kirk is shown taller than Spock here- but again, not a big deal. Now that bridge: Not at all what I pictured and I was initially disppointed, but again if that IS the true bridge of the Enterprise, I can see what James Cawley meant when he said it wasn't how he would have done it but it works. I mean, it really does look more like what a 23rd century bridge would look like. Then I thought as some of you already have- maybe it is just a simulator for the Kobayashi Maru test? The only thing is that the photo of the crew seems to be taken with the same background as the "bridge" picture and I'm not sure if everyone would just be hanging around there in a simulator. Maybe Kirk was just in a fight with Finnegan?

I think we're gonna have lots of questions still unanswered until the film finally premieres, which I think is a good thing.

Whoever was worried about this forum getting quiet- well this thread is less than 6 hours old and we already have 4 pages!

Vuedoc, unfortunately MTV blog swears it's the actual Enterprise bridge. So i guess everything Yelchin spouted back during principal photography was just a smoke screen. This may not be an origin film after all. If Kirk is already Captain, then Yelchin's tirade about that final scene when they all come together on the bridge was just misdirecting hoo-ha. I guess we'll see when they release the completed script or the graphic novel, which always comes out at least a month or two before the flick.

I hope you're right because it doesn't scream "bridge" to me.
