The BODY LANGUAGE Thread!
Ok,
I've started learning about body language. This is what i've learned soooo far. * Scratching your chin is disbelief. * Raised eyebrows mean your mad ( Except with Spock) * Leaning head means boredom I've got ALOT TO LEARN. Anything you know, please add!

there's something on the history channel right now about body language.
Having asperger's, I'm not a big one for body language, both at reading and gesturing.

Some people place fingers or a hand over the lips when someone is speaking, but keep your hands away from your face because hand-on-mouth indicates disinterest in the conversation. Also, keep your hands relaxed at your side or in your lap because otherwise gives an impression of nervousness.

If one has picked up their cell phone, and starts dialing while you are trying to say something to them....that's a pretty sure indicator that they're disinterested.
If someone has moved one shoulder back, with their arm slightly out of sight, there is a possibility that the arm is terminating in a closed fist, and thus quite possibly meaning you have offended them, and are therefore an unwitting target for the "pimp hand". (Also, be mindful of facial twitches).
