Hi all! On one of the other Dr. Who forums I'm a part of, it was announced that Partick Stewart will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of Dr. Who, with David Tennant. Apparently, this came about when the two were working together on a production of Hamlet with the RSC. Stewart will be playing a character called "The Meddling Monk" last seen during the Pertwee years. A Timelord, the Monk is a bit of a surprise to Who, who thought he was the last TL after the time war. It's rumored to be a Dalek episode.

Slightly off topic, we can expect the Ice Warriors and possibly the Rutans to return in future episodes as well.

Well, I don't really watch the current Dr Who, but I'll certainly watch his episode, out of curiosity at least.

That's so awesome! I am such a Whovian. The recent episodes have been so well written- good enough for an actor of Stewart's caliber. I can't wait to see it.

Sounds very interesting; Meddling Monk, huh? Must have the Pertwee version I watched when I was younger--I remember the Monk!!

I think The Monk was from the mid-60s, which would make him a Hartnell or Troughton contemporary.

Except for the new one, all I've ever seen were re-runs on PBS from the BBC

I've never watched the new Doctor Who. I've seen bits of it when waiting for the stargate shows or Galactica to start, looks interesting. One of those shows I've been meaning to check out. Anyone remember Patrick Stewart on Frasier?
