So does anyone see a connection between dinosaurs and dragons?

A dinosaur is just the exaggerated tale of a dinosaur. How exaggerated is what is debatable.

What this means is that people have seen dinosaurs in recent years. Well more recent that billions of years ago.

It's concievable that there are a) race memories transferred through spoken word from pre-humans who lived during the time of dinosaurs and/or b) there were "transitional" species who's remains have yet to be found.

Since current science favors the idea that dinosaurs evolved into birds, it's not at all inconcievable that there are remains yet to be found that will look exactly like we think Dragons looked.

By the way...my absolute favorite presentation of Dragons was in the kid's movie Quest for Camelot from 1998. With the exception of the silly two headed dragon, they were presented as flying lizards...very sleek, very muscular....

I agree. I think if they dug in the right place, paleontologists would uncover some really startling things. It's almost inevitable they'll find something of this nature. They uncover new species so often nowadays. Many winged and feathered dinosaurs have been found since Archeopteryx was discovered. Perhaps a creature large enough and fierce enough to meet the qualifications of one of our most enduring legends, is just a dig or two away.
