Shortly before the third season began airing here in the UK, I read a short magazine interview with Kring, where he said that there is going to be a very fast flow of revelations and twists early in the season, in part to compensate for what many appeared to think was a underwhelming second season (probably due to the strike limitations). But those twists and revelations will then feed into more twists and revelations!!!

The ''underwhelming'' part of season two was not due to the writers strike. The only difference that the writers strike caused was that the season ended two episodes earlier and the virus was to have originally spread.

I thought it was only a half season? Anyhew, the creator of the show himself apparently feels season 2 didn't work as he wanted it to, hence a speedier approach to things in season 3.

Yes, but it was only going to be half a season anyway. Volume II Generations and volume III Villains were meant to be two volumes in season 2.

This is true.

Sylar has gone totally Norman Bates! Pretty disturbing, shape shifting into his mother so he could carry out would be conversations with her. Interesting twist.

Yeah. I've always felt the only person who can ultimately defeat Sylar is himself. He'll eventually be locked up by his own insanity. This shapeshift stuff is a great metaphor for what's going on inside his head.
