Nero on his way back in time to Kill kirk hits a meteor. After repairing the ships damage he continues into the past sucking the now cracked meteor into it's temporal wake.

As it turns out the great zardoz from the 21st century had been frozen inside the meteor but has now been reawakened.

Originally Zardoz seeks to thwart Nero's plans until he discovers that Shatner is in the film playing kirk. Nero and Zardoz must now work together to make sure shatner never appears in a trek film again.

Of course what would i know.

I had heard of that story line but understood paramount rejected it when Abrams came on board.

Part of me would love to see Zardoz make the final cut but part of me says no way i want to give Jed Starkiller $100.
