As others have said just be careful, it is getting steadily more dangerous out there, as the Iraqis are adopting the type of tactics the Taliban have been using in Afghanistan. I have spent time there as well, and until recently I would have rated Iraq as an easier posting. You wouldn't credit it would you, I join the Royal Navy and end up serving in two deserts along side the booties (Marines) and Pongos (army)

Luckily, I am just an advisor and get to stay out of direct combat, but have been shot at many times and hit more than a few mines...traveling down the dirt roads....
