Hiya All-

After this week, I'l be overseas working in Iraq for about a month as an advisor. Needless to say, I won't have access to post during that time, but in 4-5 weeks I should be back.

I just wanted to let all my freinds here know...

Watch out for yourself over there! I spent a month in Southern Iraq back in June/July and it was an interesting experience. One thing I would say is, there I was under my bed with the helmet etc on, due to a mortar attack, but the pizza I had ordered from the Pizza Hut on base was still delivered on time!

This is my 5th trip there since 9/11. Going allways reminds me that the war isn't over yet. Yes I had the same expeince with Pizza Hut!!! ROFL!!! Thanks!

I am glad to know that Pizza Hut on the UK and US bases in Iraq, considers it more important not to have to give a free pizza (by delivering within a certain length of time) than the safety of their delivery staff! Oh well the pizza must always get through.

As others have said just be careful, it is getting steadily more dangerous out there, as the Iraqis are adopting the type of tactics the Taliban have been using in Afghanistan. I have spent time there as well, and until recently I would have rated Iraq as an easier posting. You wouldn't credit it would you, I join the Royal Navy and end up serving in two deserts along side the booties (Marines) and Pongos (army) .
