I had read the books are canon comment before, but I'm curious as to which books they hold to have canonical value. Could provide clues!

Read the article -- this does alleviate apprehension -- somewhat. i remain skeptical, but perhaps a little more optimistic... still guardedly.

I do share your feelings. I think what makes me feel better is that they really do seem to be trying hard to do what they feel will make everyone happy. They know how hard to please we all are and that fact alone makes me hopeful. With all the producers out there who only care about $$$, it's refreshing to see that there are those who really care about what they are doing.
