I didn't know you mean to start an entire BOARD. Two options...

Start a TOPIC about it here and see how it goes and if it will support a forum.

or

Sign up on some BB service and start your own forum, then invite over friends from here.

I doubt Paramount will start a fanfic forum upon request... that's not their gig.

If someone wants to start a fan fic thread to post fic written by those on this board, I think that's fine. If they don't like it, the admins can delete it. However, there was talk of linking to favorite stories....

Regardless of how minimal the risk, I would never post a link to fan fic created by someone else on a board run by the owner of the copyright. Just me being protective of the writers that have given me so much joy.

True, but in such a fanfic forum, participants could certainly discuss such stories and easily exchange links via PM -- in short, a fanfic "appreciation" thread without turning it into a linked library of them, which the studio (who owns this site) may not dig, depending on the content.

Still, it would be an organized, enthusiastic place to share and discuss *info* about the topic, without necessarily linking or publishing such stories in their entirety.

Just an idea.

Well...have to tell you...that's been happening all along...heck, Jerhanner now knows my real name because she's read a bit of fan fic I wrote..(and, somehow, it seemed like a great idea to use my real name when posting borderline porn...).
