How about WALL-E? Easy to do, all you need is lots of cardboard for the majority of the robots!

We were gonna dress my son as Curious George. I would be the Man in the Yellow Hat and my wife could go as a banana.

You can't go wrong with a graveyard on Halloween, they're always in style. Not sure how you'd tie it into Potter beyond dressing yourselves up as the characters (not difficult... black robes are cheap). Maybe play some of the soundtracks over the scene. Lots of stores now sell multi-packs of inexpensive tombstones to populate a lawn.

Whatever you do, have fun!

Since the movies are so dark it would tie in

You could just make the graveyard in Godric's Hollow - and use the names they list in the book on the stones. I assume there'a a cheap way to make gravestones - paper mache and grey spray paint?

We'll keep going as the Malfoy family as long as the Draco costume still fits The Boy.
