Yeah, that's why I used the "wink" emoticon...

He was an overall excellent captain...Would've gave all the other captains a run for their money...

Although Archer was never a favorite character, what I liked about him was his Explorer's heart. He was full of curiosity and wonder at the great possibilities of what was out there. That optimistic curiosity was so overwhelming that it oftentimes led them to trouble, so bullheaded he is about his own beliefs. T'Pol seemed to come out as a villain in the first season because she was the voice of caution, but in truth, she was only slowly leading them to follow a certain set of protocols that later captains and crew would follow.

I think Archer was miscast.
To be a leader other men must in some way want to be you. Scott Bacula is a good actor but not that type.

I agree, and it seemed like he was reading from a Que Card as well.

And would have one reference to Quantum Leap been so hard to do? Oh Boy!

I quite like Archer when I started watching Enterprise recently on Virgin 1. He isn't quite got what the other captain's had but he's certainly dedicated to his crew and ship. I never bothered the watch Enterprise on it's first run but now i've actually take some time to watch it, the show isn't too bad at all.
