Nothing we don't know or haven't already assumed.

That said, I'm excited to see where this movie will take the franchise. In the capable hands it rests in it might be possible to reinspire an entirely new generation of young Trekkies. Change, IMO, is rarely a bad thing. It's only changing the future, not the past. We can still watch the original Trek timeline on DVD for the rest of our lives, like having our cake AND eating it too. Can't really say as much for the characters of the film though, their predetermined timeline is long gone.

Thanks for that link though.

I am super cool with the time travel and alternate universe treatment, but please don't erase trek history to make all that has happened before irrelevant. Surely their are many missions that took place between the series episodes that can be explored. Or perhaps if
the timeline is left not right to be resolved in a sequel....

True that!!

I cant help but envision after Spocks intervention (in not only the time travel issues) has some role in convincing the young Spock that he must be sure that this specific crew be assembled to ensure proper time order , even though its still not quite right, and then in the end Kirk on the bridge having some inspirational anecdote followed by Lets go we have a lot of work to do... and segway into the sequel

Eh i can go nuts thinking up scenarios, I just cant wait to see it...
