You must mean Hoshi Sato. She was never considering joining Starfleet until Captain Archer convinced her to join, as an opportunity to experience and learn new alien languages. She was chosen because of her linguistic skills.

That being said, it's understandable for a person who hadn't considered a career in Starfleet and eventual space exploration, to be initially afraid, then during time, you learn to get over your fear of space travel.

lol, but you can not just join up and take off in a ship. Hoshi had a rank, so their fore she was already in Starfleet. If she wanted a ground job, she should have joined a part of the military that did not go in to space.

So.... my second choice is still Hoshi.

Personally, I thought Travis Montgomery was quite useless, if only because the writer's gave him nothing to do except drive the ship. Lotta character development there!

T'Pol was my least liked to be honest. Had the series gone forward, it would've nice to see her develop more deadpan humour, especially having been around humans for a while. Seems to be the way with Vulcans, judging by Spock and Tuvok. Too icy. Only last the few minutes of "Bound", really reminded me of Spock-type banter.

Hmmm? Well Tripp was a moron, but he did nail T'Pol.... which Archer never did do, which we all know if he was anything like Kirk, T'Pol would be dressing up as an Orion slavegirl at least once a week..... actually if Kirk was the Captain,Yoshi would be a regular at the Captain's mess....

But as far as a least favorite? Well if Reed or Mayweather had died in the end instead of Tripp I'd of liked it more....
