Default They should release the first remastered season on Standard DVD

I realize you're all aware that they released the first remastered season of "Star Trek" on an HD-DVD/DVD combo but started releasing the rest on standard DVD after Blu-ray won the high definition war. So, in retrospect, I really think they should re-release the remastered season one on standard DVD just to settle the issue.

Or, figure out a way to drop the price on the first season...oh, wait, Amazon is now offering it for just about what they charge for the second season. The hybrid discs are not a problem to deal with at all. (and, no, I don't have a High Def player)

If I recall during the preshow stuff before "The Cage" at the movie theater, they said one side of the disk would be HD-DVD and the other side would be standard DVD for those that don't have HD players.

That's exactly how it works. There's writing on the inside circle of the disc that tells you "this side up for HD, this side down for regular" or vice versa...I forget which way it works, I always read the writing.

I dont have HD but I did buy the disks for that reason, and the new look it great, but I would not get rid of my "older" DVDs
