Default Which movie had the best Special Effects?

Well, Nemisis may not have been the best movie but it's special effects for me were definatly the best.

Yeh you are right, FX wise its Nemesis and First Contact but I have a feeling ST08 will blow all our socks off.

Almost 30 years later, The Motion Picture's effects are still the best. The Enterprise never looked better, the level of detail in everything was stupendous, and the V'Ger visuals, though they dragged down the pace of the movie itself, were ethereally lovely.

For the budget, and the time it was made, ST:TMP looks really good.

Although, I would have to say that Nemesis, First Contact, then ST:VI, are my top.

The Borg battle in First Contact, enhanced by the score, is my favorite SFX moment of the films. And also I agree that TMP's SFX are worth appreciating.

I always loved the old style models, I thought the ships always looked more realistic than CGI, but that's just me. Saying that, the borg battle in FC was always cool looking.

Yeah the crash sequence in Nemisis is what makes it a winner in visual FX.

Insurrection had great visual effects. Loved the Enterprise flying through the brier patch and the scenery on the planet was amazing. From the Star Trek era, I would probably go with Star Trek I. Loved the look inside V'Ger, even though it was a tad boring. That was something I loved the fact that it was enhanced.
