I'm liking SGU lately. Especially what's happening with Rush and the bridge. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out. Only thing that still bothers me is story pacing could be a little faster, but then again I thought the story pacing on Caprica was just right.lol Different shows, different rhythms.

I've told many people that I could tolerate SGU just because it's stargate, I could chose to be interested. But it's just like with Star Trek o9 I've seen with the plots where they take the easy way out, just a slower pace.

I have to be honest I'll watch 09 again but week after week of this kind of Stargate wore me out very fast.

I haven't seen a single ep of SGU, but I have heard that it lacks the buddy/comraderie and humor of SG-1 and Atlantis.

I've never watched those earlier shows, but I can say that this is true. It's thematically very different. Much more dark.

Which is not necessarily bad but it doesn't seem to be done well and the writing could use less plot holes and character holes. But yeah we really do need some people to root for.

It's like X-files with out Scully or Moulder. It's just dark.
