I don't think I'll be on line to see it but I certainly won't be protesting outside the theater either. So, ROCK ON KJ!

I think everyone in general needs to have a better sense of humor about themselves. Look at Adam Sandler's ZOHAN. The Israelis thought it was hysterical when it came out, but I'm sure had it been made about some other nationalities or religious groups, there would have been denouncements and bannings and lawsuits.

Your are right but Zohan would have been well recieved because Sandler is a Jew. Had Mel Gibson made it we may have seen a different reaction.

Likewise christians will often satirise themselves but do seem to take offence where non was meant.

That stems from the world view some have. I recently attended an outdoor concert in Sydney put on by different churches. Most of it was just great music and it was a good event. Then a group of kids got up in op shop suits and ties and start singing "Iam not ashamed" as if the rest of the world is ready to stand in ridicule.

The words were first experessed by the apostle Paul during a time when you could be killed for saying you were a christian, so they had a context.
Unfortunately these kids belong to a group that would not connect with the unchurched except to stick some evangelical literature in their hand. So they think the world wait to persecute christians.

A most unfortunate scenario.

I'm guessing anything i don't like about the film will be that the humour is simply not funny. Sexy Jesus? i can see us all spitting coffee over over our laptops reading that.

Pity that many comedians think comedy is simply saying something silly with a smile.

Well, Hamlet 2 at least has more for a plot. It actually revolves around fighting those who think it is too edgy. I do want to see it, and I don't think we should judge it until we do so.

If God doesn't have a sense of humor, then I'd say we're all pretty much screwed.

I base my faith upon God having a sense of humor... if he doesn't, then Heaven can't be nearly as nice as they make it out to be in the Bible.

If God/dess didn't have a sense of humor it would have destroyed us after Gibson's Hamlet.
