Default Poor Wil Wheaton...

According to TrekToday, Wil Wheaten broke several ribs while skateboarding. He said that he wanted to recapture his youth in a way, but realized that his teenage years were something of the past and now that he is older, he can't do some of the things he used to be able to do.

Man, imagine...breaking your ribs...how horrible that must be! I mean, it's like a pain you can't be able to sooth right away or hold onto. Too bad this isn't the 24th century, we would be able to heal him right up!

It's weird. I'm around the same age as him, but when I watch him on TNG I keep thinking of him as being that age, when I remember he's in his thirties, and by extension so am I, I get really depressed!!!

I love the fact that characters dont age, but his character ticked me off, so glad they cut his scene from 10!

You know, I'm not gonna feel sorry for him. He made the choice to get on the skateboard. That's what happens when you get someone who's boarderline middle age trying to recapture their youth by trying to do dangerous sports. (You see this happening in mountain climbing and skiing all the time.) Plus, he's earning a good living working for gaming companies as a consultant. What he gets from con appearance fees, probably is more than you or I make in a year.

So, the hell with Wheaton. He has health insureance. (Which is more than you can say for 47% of the US population.)
