I personally don't see Spock dying and I DO believe that time travel will be apart of things. Frankly even Braga admitted the death of Kirk was a mistake. I'd like to think that Mr. Abrams is smart enough to see that killing Nimoy/ Spock would have to be a climatic event... Not like "And he dies...." And such a climatic event does not seem to fit the path of the movie...

Seriously? I've seen Spock die once, it's enough. I still sob whenever I watch that scene from TWOK, it gets me almost every time... I don't want to see Spock die again no matter how it happens...

exerion's vision matches mine pretty closely. I may have been just avoiding this thread because Spock's first death still hurts. I don't think I've ever cried that much over a movie (and, I cry! I weep openly at things other's don't even mist up over).

I think Spock dying is going to be the focal point of the movie and it is him going through the memories as his Katra is transferred that constitute "Nimoy in scene".

7) Being shot out of a torpedo when still alive

It will be the first time after a long run of 20 Years, that I go into the theatre with this special feeling in my stomach again. I want to watch this new movie with curiositiy and excitement. Not with fear about what is in stock for Spock and having to say a virtual good bye. Not again.

I think old Spock will go back in time to give some kind of mission to young Spock (cliche, i know).

Or hey, maybe Q or Crewman Daniels will pop up and be like, "STUFF HAS CHANGED, FIX IT!!"

Thanks for the vid. I don't know why but I crack up everytime I see that. Has a rather Monty Python-ish quality to it I suppose.
