It started with the episode "Wrongs Darker than Death or Night" then I kept of with the rest of the Dominion War arc in Season 7. Then bought a VHS copy of "Emissary" from one of my friend's yard sale and I've been hooked since then.

Ben Sisko, after Kirk, as much as I'm belothed to admit it, he was arguably the best Comander/Captain in Star Trek, he was fun, he was witty, he was the perfect man for the job. I would argue it was Avery Brooks best role. Thats what got me into DS9 from the beginning I might add

I started watching Star Trek when I was about 7 with my dad when he was recording "Unimatrix Zero" for his boss who was on a business trip. I became addicted and it became quite an important part of my life...well, the people I met through it at least.

You summed it up well...To me, it seems like DS9 had the greatest fans
because we were able to connect with each character a lot more. I
really do love reading each person's post which is why I've been making
a lot of threads for the smallest of things. I'm so glad this site has
expanded to be able to meet others that have the same joy of such a
fantastic show where we can see different perspectives that we didn't
think of before...

I was addicted to TNG and then thought I would give DS9 a chance and now I like it better than TNG.

When I was about 7 or 8 I saw a clip from the episode 'Little Green Men' at my grandma's, and the first character I saw was Odo and I instantly thought he was really cool lol. Sadly I spent the next 5 years not liking DS9 that much, only to reliase I'd never tried sitting a whole episode. Then about 3 or 4 months back, I decided to put it on and see. At the time I was deep into Voyager and had found a stash of episodes on Stage6 lol

Also as a Star Trek fan I had an urge to watch a few episodes of all the series so I can give a proper opinon.

For me it was a natural continuation of TNG albiet a slightly different aspect of it. I grew to enjoy DS9 and Voy greatly.
