For that matter, why aren't we seeing more horses on modern battlefeilds? Dang, horses are really cool. How about spears? We just don't seem to use spears as much as we used to...

Guys, I'm talking about only having one or two tanks, not hundreds, so they aren't going to be that big of a "problem", besides, who doesn't want to see a "trekked" out tank. I mean, think about it, an M1A25 Abrams (I'm using the abrams because its my favorite tank) armed with a type 9 phaser instead of a cannon and a type 3 phaser instead of a .50 cal. machine gun, and 2 type 2 phasers instead of 2 .30 cal. machine guns and the armor of 2 shuttle craft.

practicality before pompousness...

although it would be cool, it would serve no purpose, like the ARGO.

A tank with a type-9 phaser? That's a starship-sized phaser.
One awfully big tank!

Tank cannons are very powerful, only a type 9 and higher seemed appropriate
