It has to work, and therefore I have to be excited. As simple as that.

Everyone's quoting Spock when we should be quoting Giles (from Buffy).

Anya: You trusting fool! What makes you think the world would be any better than this?
Giles: Because it has to be.

We can't go on existing like this forever. Nemesis broke the evens rule cleanly in half. I say let's go for it!

I feel uneasy about it, because I think we're probably in for Enterprise: The Motion Picture.

Simply, the question is this: How do you guys FEEL about it?

How do you guys FEEL about these iconic characters being recast?

How do you guys FEEL about this new film going back to the old classic days of Trek?

How do you guys FEEL generally about this?

I for one am excited as a casual fan... but I wanna know what the devout think...
As a fan who owns (and knows by heart) copies of EVERY Star Trek episode, movie, and printed story or novel, Including any and all timelines, I reserve judgement until I see it. That does'nt mean I don't have misgivings about the plot, recasting, or any cameo appearances. I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the people bringing us this newest insallment of the World of Star Trek, at least unless they screw it up. Does anybody know what SNAFUBAR means?!!

Yeah, it's a melding of SNAFU: Situation Normal: All F**ked Up, and FUBAR: F**ked Up Beyond All Recognition/Repair.

Im both scared, worried but excited at the same time. This is unchartered territory here and its never been done before. Im old enough to have lived through a time when we only new the original series before all these incarnations. For us especially its a worrying time. These are our heroes.

However im open about this and want it to work. Im really hopeful that its going to re ignite my interest in Star Trek as ive not really been interested since the old crew bowed out in Trek 6.

here's hoping

Starbase Britain.
