Thought there should be a place for everyone to be able to visit for a spell - to relax, stay awhile, maybe get something from the galley or food replicator while they're at it. Well, as a priority in the construction of the ship, the officer's mess is now open for activity!

In the midst of the extra-curricular activities on board the ship (or OT discussions in this forum), there isn't really just a "place" (thread) where people don't hafta "rush around" (stay on topic) and just say hey or chat. And since we don't have the tricorders to check for friends (or currently cannot see at the bottoms of the pages when people with whom we wanna talk are online, though you could just check a buddy list, I suppose), you can also just come here to check in during the day to see what's new.

I suppose most topics of discussion (within reason) are okay, as long as the topics are appropriate enough for a family-friendly environment, and no rude or mean comments will be tolerated.

So, if ya want, rest a bit in the officer's mess and get comfy!

Yeah, well, I guess it's whatever people wanna make of it.

Well, kinda like a new aquarium that needs to get cycled, that'd be cool if this place gets to some happy medium (and I don't mean a content clairvoyant-type...)
