thanks so much, Well my dad seems the same, scared it can get worse. As for my mother in law she is recovering. She lost most of her small intestines. She is going to need a Colostomy Bag. We have to wait and see how she does

It will be a difficult adjustment, but she will do alright. It's also possible that after 3 or 4 months they might be able to reconnect her large intestine to the stomach. While her diet would have to be adjusted to compensate, it would obviously be more pleasant for her.

Thinks seem to be getting better slowly.
My dad ia home from hospital, his on all types of meds. He is a bit slow and weak but doing better.
My mother-inlaw is recovering, had some issues here and there but is recovering slowly. She ate soild food today for the first time.
We have to keep an eye on both of them, it is going to be a slow recovery but they are still with us, thats all that matters

Yay! It sounds like a definite step up. It's good that Mom In Law is making the move to solid food....it's really important. Do watch her diet carefully for awhile. My experience suggests that the things she's going to want are not the things she should just jump right back into.

Dad's just going to take some time. The whole system needs to relearn how to do some stuff. Just remember it's going to be harder on him that it will be on you.
