Default Aztec Calender

A lady at work had mentioned the Aztec Calander and how it ends like dc 21, 2012 or whatever. I was wondering everyones take on this. I seem to recall hear some where before that the Calander had actually "Ran out" once before. Im going to do some research of my own at home on this anyone else do any reading on it?

Yes, has to be, here's a site to find out and calculate Aztec dates.

Capt. Beckett,

Actually, the world did come to an end on that day. That was the day that God "raptured" all the failthful and pure people from the surface of the Earth... leaving only the damned to continue here on Earth... (looks around) It's a subtle difference, I agree...

Oh, and the Mayan calander thing is total BS. Go over to Phil Plait's "Bad Astronomy" blog and search the subjects for it. Phil has lots of links to sites that completely debunk this waste of time...

Y2K was a more convincing threat.
