I will confess that until last year I really didn't like the Giants at all: then they whipped those Beantown SOBs AND got rid of Shockey. They'll never replace the Jets in my heart but I can see myself rooting for them.

I can understand those who don't care about the NFL or pro sports in general -- the only pro game I really enjoy is NFL, and I really credit my participation in Fantasy Football with getting me deep into the game.

Sadly we in LA still have no pro team, nor one on the horizon. Oh well, perhaps by the time we snag a transplant or get an expansion slot, I can afford season tickets in some new stadium.

Tonight's pre-season game wasn't bad, considering -- even Al and John commented it was one of the better played/coached HoF Games in recent memory. But the pre-season is mostly for rookie shakedowns and roster thinning -- we really won't get a true taste of NFL 'flava' until September when the starters stay on the field. Still, nice to see some semblance of NFL action after this long drought.

Looking forward to our FFL draft in about 3 weeks (as the defending champ)!

I'm an NFL fan....fortunately my Chargers look like they might not completely suck. After this season of Padres Baseball I don't know if I could take months more of heartbreak....

Australian Rules for me. And my team (geelong) after a thumping grand final victory last year is providing complimentary thrashings to all on-comers this season.
