And Don't Forget, I Have To Live Through One More World War. According To Trek, I Have To Live Miserably Through WWIII. DANGIT!

No doubt somewhere there is an evangelist preaching that this proves life on mars.

I wouldn't put too much faith in a fictional TV series' "record" with actual Earth history. If you're a fan, you know that Khan's entire backstory has failed to happen already. No Eugenics wars in the 1990s, no Botany Bay was launched, etc. etc.

We've also missed out entirely on invasions of Terminators, finding monoliths on the moon seven years ago, or launching Charlton Heston to the Planet of the Apes.

You can do much more in your real life to direct the future toward all the good in TREK than you need to worry about fictional futures depicted in it.

And yet we have lived to see Zardos. Who could have predicted that?

And 1984 was not like 1984. (although 2008 seems more and more to be like 1984)

Let's party like it's 1999.

okay, if Star Trek was so prophetic, where's Kahn and the whole Eugenics wars?

as for life and water on Mars; where there's smoke...
know what I mean?
