finally somebody who feels my pain when it comes to gardening. lol i hate when u peel tomatoes your , hands start to burn and itch . yikes. drives me nuts

what type of tomatoes did u plant?

I really don't know... not the cherry or grape ones though. I think like Mountain Fresh? no heirlooms. Early Girl, and Big Boy too. Oh, and mom make the best tomato juice in the world (she made me say that, although it's kinda true).

cool . we planted german johnsons , better boy. didnt plant any fruit though

goo. We always have like a half acre garden. tomatoes, peppers, corn, pumpkins, gourds, squash, beets, dill, eggplant... yeah!

I don't know what goo means either!

I went so far as to plant zucchini this year - it's our first full summer here and I haven't had time to put up any fencing. I have a feeling the deer and bunnies are waiting just out of sight in the forest until those orange blossoms turn into veggies...
NEXT year, I'm building a chipmunk/bunny/deer proof garden and going to town. I'm not paying $3/lb for nasty store tomatoes any more!
