I think the tatoo is absolutely okay, but the photo... the photo is just terrible.
Never, nerver ever show a close up of a white mans skin in yellow light. Never. It allways looks creepy and somewhat rotten, I cant help it. Perhaps because so many Horror Movies of the nineties had this yellow-orange collors in combination with meat.

But again, the tatoo is nice.

, how true! I think the horror color scheme you speak of started in the late 70's with "Friday the 13th".
